January Twenty Seventh, Twenty Eleven

My Thursday 4th graders are very mad at me right now, but they showed me that they can't handle learning about Art by making Art so we are learning about it from text books. Ahhh, the joy of vocabulary.

January Twenty First, Twenty Eleven

Movie night at school! I don't have pictures, but here's two of my crayon makers set up, and the kind of crayons that my super cool new mold makes!

January Twentieth, Twenyt Eleven

I got a "new" one off of Ebay to get a mold that isn't broken. This one came with a special mold too!

I spent 2 hours dipping things in chocolate today.

January Sixteenth, Twenty Eleven

I bought this yarn yesterday while in Lake Havasu. Before you start yelling and screaming that I don't need more yarn, you are right. However I had to make an exception, this yarn is for 2 very special baby blankets. So with the specific project in mind (and currently being undertaken) there is my loophole.

January Fifteenth, Twenty Eleven

This is a sketch of Libby's baby blanket that I'm going to make. It's going to be awesome if I can ever find the right yarn.

(I went to the Lit concert at Harrahs tonight and it was AWESOME, but no I didn't bring my camera, sorry)

January Fourteenth, Twenty Eleven

The gate took another chunk out of my hand this morning. Well, actually it was the same chunk it took the other day. I don't think it will ever heal.

Last few birds done! Yay! (I am entirely too nice to my students)

Who knew finding this in my room would almost ruin my whole day? I was almost seeing red.

This is a double knit scarf that I've been working on for like 3 years... thought I'd pick it up again for a bit.

January Seventh, Twenty Eleven

I got my very first hair dryer yesterday, and I used it for the first time this morning. I wasn't very good at it.

Thursday, January 6, 2011

January Sixth, Twenty Eleven

A bird walked into our gym today... sorry for the dark pics, that's just what happened.

Wednesday, January 5, 2011

January Fifth, Twenty Eleven

A great mail day, I got two knitting magazines!

Tuesday, January 4, 2011

January Fourth, Twenty Eleven

This is my new crayon maker because the mold in my old one broke and I can't find a replacement. It works really well, except that the crayons it makes are really short and stubby. It's somewhat sad, but the Kindergarteners are still excited about them.

January Third, Twenty Eleven

I spent over 5 hours at school yesterday on my last day off to fire these for my 4th graders. They seemed less then impressed when I told them that, but they were super excited to paint them! If that doesn't show you how much I love these kids I don't know what will.
