Parth and I went to see the Avengers today, and when we left the movie theater we went out a different way then everyone else and ended up on the roof of the mall by ourselves.  It was really cool!

 I saw these flowers in an abandoned lot near Central Market,

 and I saw this cute little Cardinal!

Then I got back to the apartment and there was this crazy big dead bug outside the door.

This is what I needed the Goo Gone and masking tape for, I was painting chalkboard labels on these glass jars so then I could have some hope of knowing what Parth has in his spice cabinet.  As someone pointed out, he's a scientist and everything at his lab is labeled...  It's a little crazy how much I love this guy!

A new store = naked manikins.  It's a little weird that they are just nakedly standing there obviously not staring at me because they have no heads.

On my last day of being 27 I found 2 grey hairs in my bangs.  Now don't get me wrong, I was aware for a while now that I have had gray hairs on the back of my head where I couldn't see them, but now with them in plain sight I can't help but think that I'm getting old!

 Today I went to Target for some Goo Gone and tape (for a project you'll see later) and found a bunch of these fun wall stickers on 70% off clearance!  I of course had to get them because I like jazzing up Parth's apartment while I'm here and this was the result.  I got these flowers to give me something pretty to look at while doing the dishes instead of staring at a boring wall.

 I got a few packs of these daisy stickers and put them in the hallway that goes to the bedroom (on the left) and the bathroom.  Parth said it's a bit feminine for his taste, but I see it more as a design instead of individual flowers.

And finally I got this little tree and put it over the headboard.  Parth came home before I was done and he helped me put the leaves on it.  This once came with little rectangle sticker "frames" sort of like a family tree, but I thought that was too cheesy.  Maybe I can use them somewhere else instead!

I made a very colorful dinner tonight: chicken fingers with an avocado dip, purple mashed potatoes (from actual purple potatoes) and tomatoes with a balsamic vinaigrette dressing.  All homemade by me!

This is what $55 worth of cheese looks like, in case you ever wondered!  Mmmmmmm, I have a feeling we're going to have some great pizza coming up!  Also if you're wondering, it's not all for 1 pizza, I have about 3 or more planned in the near future because I couldn't decide on just one recipe.

 I finished this silk and cashmere blend scarf today, it feels heavenly!

 I knit it in the Birds Eye Lace pattern because I didn't want it to feel heavy, but mostly because I only had 130 yards of it.

I took the Dart today to meet Parth after work and it gave me a lot of dollar coins as change.

I got these books at the library's used book sale!  They are Metropolitan Seminars in Art books, and each has 12 color prints in a special sleeve on the front cover.  They are super cool, and will keep me entertained this summer!

I bought these pillows for Parth's couch because I like to sit diagonally as I knit and the bare wood arms are uncomfortable.  I hope he likes them!

Parth took me to the Dallas Arboretum today, and when I tried to get a picture of the two of us he closed his eyes on purpose!  Oh well, at least we got to see some amazing Chihuly sculptures there!

I know we said we were done buying stuff for the Santa Shop, and I know I'm in Dallas, but I just couldn't resist!  I got 6 robot puzzles, 5 squeeze money holders, and 6 GIANT robot themed erasers!  All of this for under $8!

 Lindsey sent this reusable pad in the mail to me in Texas and it got here before I did.  Parth got the mail at some point and told me she sent me something.  I knew exactly what it was, so I told him he could open it if he'd like.  I don't think he'll want to ever open my mail again!  Poor guy!  lol!
