Better late then never, right?
We are working on Hamsa charms in 1st grade, and we're using Shrinky-Dinks. I shrunk the one on the top and it curled in such a way that I decided I could not give it back to the student. I decided to make a new one for the student myself based on the original design, and it worked out better. He'll never know that it wasn't his.
This was the other Hamsa that didn't shrink well, so I tried to make the replacement, but it did not work. I guess it would not pass for his anyway since I colored it too nicely.

Dear creepy crawly thing,
Why are you in my classroom? Don't you know that you terrify me? I am sorry that I scooped you up and trapped you in a container all day, but I couldn't take the chance of letting you run around while I have students in the room. Not to be mean, but I hope a roadrunner ate you shortly after I released you outside because I'm too afraid to step on you.
All due respect,
Ms. W.

It may be a little late, but I got a Valentine today from a student.
We are making paper beads in first grade, it's going to take them a while to get the whole thing down.

One of my kindergartners gave me this little mouse she made this morning.
I found this print out this morning behind my desk. I printed out pictures of the 5th grade kids for a project and told them they could keep them once they got so far in the assignment. I guess this kid didn't want his, but he drew horns on his head with people "shufflin".

I finally got to meet my Uncle Bob (from Alaska) this weekend. It was a little odd that I am 27 and there was an uncle I had never met. He bought a house in Las Vegas, and I went up to meet him last night and stayed until today. Long story short, does anyone know anybody that restores paintings? I don't know if it's oil or acrylic, but somehow it got messed up at some point.

I parked by this motor home when I went to lunch with Lori and Patti. It was strange to see it in Bullhead City. I did not get to meet Kelli Ward though.

Oh Audubon, how I love thee!
Here is some proof that I may have gone crazy today, I thew away yarn! Granted it was in a box labeled "yarn" in the storage closet at school and it was all tangled up. I salvaged what I could from the box and neatly put the untangled yarn in baggies to prevent future tangles, but I decided that this cheep, scratchy stuff was not worth my time or anyone else's to fuss over.
