Long story short: A student cut one of my erasers in half today, and later in the day he game me one to replace it.  

 I donated blood today!  Ouch for my arm, but yay for my new purple dress!!!

Things are looking positive!  I'm taking it as a cosmic sign about Texas, not just a random fortune that I happened to get with my dinner today.

This is what I came home to late last night, a sink full of dirty dishes.  I would like to note that when I left Friday morning every dish was clean except for the cereal bowl and one spoon that I had just used.  There are things in the drying rack on the right, but I cleaned those Thursday night and thought maybe my roommates might at least be able to put them away.  However they just used a few dishes from it and back in the sink they went.  Do they think a kitchen fairy comes at night to clean up their mess?

I worked on setting up one of the projects for the MCC Art Show today.  I have to set up two projects for it since I received two grants.  I had to stick pushpins into the wall until my fingers were numb!

 I spent part of my prep wrapping fishing line around my counter at school.

 I had to go around it 20 times because I was measuring it out to hang the bird projects for the MCC Art Show next week.

I felt the need to create something quick and simple today so I strung these two necklaces for myself.  Maybe someday I'll realize I do not need more jewelry, but today is not that day.

 I cut the stems a bit shorter and the flowers look fantastic now!

I made potato soup for Parth today.  It's amazing how mundane things like making soup from scratch and cleaning everything in the kitchen somehow become much more exciting than writing lesson plans.

 I bought this vase from Anthropologie today because I fell in love with it,

Then Parth came home and filled it with flowers for me for no reason, and I love him more and more!  (Hopefully the flowers will perk up soon, I'm digging the secondary color theme we have going on.)

To celebrate Pi Day I bought Parth and I some apple hand pies (because the regular pies were too big).

Parth and I went on an adventure to a yarn shop today, and it wasn't for me!  We were on a mission to find a specific yarn for his Mom in India, and boy was it tough!  We finally found some yarn that would work so we got it.  

Then he bought some yarn for me.  (What an amazing boyfriend!)

We got Chinese food for lunch and my fortune said that I will have a new opportunity soon, maybe it means in Texas!

We went on a walk and saw some ducks.

It was a nice walk.  If you look really close you can see the necklace and earrings that he gave me for Valentine's Day.

We have no idea what these are, but they were everywhere!

This little guy was cheering us on!

I got really close to the strange birds.
