One last Malley's stop.  Peppermint bark, Buckeyes (for the ladies, if it makes them back to them), and two chocolate bars to replace the ones that Fox ate. I don't know what happened to the picture when I uploaded it.

December Thirtieth, Twenty Eleven

Last completed knitting project of 2011: a hat for Mom to match the shell I made her this year.  She will get a special surprise when she gets a flower pin from the same yarn in the mail sometime later.  She originally wanted a flower pin from the yarn, but then changed her mind to a hat that she said she wanted to knit herself.  So like a good daughter I brought the rest of the yarn plus an assortment of needles with me, and waited to get her started.  Then toward the end of my visit she told me to just make it, so I did.  At least I'm starting to feel better now that I am on medicine!

I finally went to the doctor today after a whole thing with my insurance, which is somehow only effective IN Arizona otherwise it is out of network.  I had to go, no big deal.  No one specific thing wrong says the doctor, just a whole mess of things from fever to wheezing, infected lungs.  $200 on my flexible spending account later I have 3 super drugs and I am starting to feel much better!

December Twenty Eighth, Twenty Eleven

No pictures today, sorry.   I was supposed to have a fun day with my Pen Pal (Dave's Mom) at the Cleveland Museum of Art today, but I am not well.  I had a fever of 103*F last night, and now one of 102.7*F tonight.  I am really sick, and I'm sad I had to miss the fun.

Fox, my Mom's dog, at my chocolate!!!  I'm a little mad at her, but I guess I did leave it within reach.  Did she have to go for the Malley's though?  She has good taste.  She ate Joanna's chocolate the day before too, but she seems to be ok.

Sad day.  My favorite bunny wallet finally broke today.  Luckily Cheryl got me this really nice new wallet for Christmas yesterday!!!

 Maybe I'm still jet-lagged.  Mary pointed out that I had two different socks on today.  This morning I saw candy canes on black and just assumed I had a match.  I don't know what to do in this situation, do I wear the others from this mismatched pair tomorrow to even them out?

I got fun car stickers in the mailbox!  Guess what's going in my prize box when I get back to school!!!

 All of the wine bottles made it safely!!!  Don't get too excited, one is to share with my sisters and the other four are going down to Dallas.

 It's like Christmas!  I got my Dick Blick order in today, and it was MASSIVE (thanks to the grant I got)!!!  I have enough art paper to last for years, the next art teacher will be thrilled!  I was recently asked why I don't just use regular (copy) paper for the kids, do any of my artist friends want to field this one for me?

So I left the "A" and the "W" in perspective on the board from yesterday, and I come in today to find "Willy" added to the collection!

This is my ugly sweater.  I think I failed because the kids told me that they like it, especially the pom poms.

My Mom used to read us The Big Hungry Bear and the Red Ripe Strawberry when we were growing up, and it was one of my favorite books!  I saw this one in our library today and just had to read it, but sadly I was disappointed.
